Thor Update

I noticed some of my prints were looking a little old and could use a refresh. I tried to make the pose more dynamic, the proportions better, and the colors bolder.

Avengers Assembled

My team of Avengers is finally assembled! This will be one of my new prints at conventions this year and you can buy it right now as a t-shirt for only $14 on my TeePublic shop!

I'll keep posting the individual characters and the design decisions that went into them, so go buy a shirt and check back for more updates.

Assembling - Thor

Thor is one of my favorite Avengers and I have a lot of fun drawing him. I try to make him even bigger than the typical guys like Cap so he seems even more godlike. I've finally switched over to the full metal helmet instead of the feathery wings. It allows me to keep him more streamlined and angular and I don't have to try to figure out where the wings attach to the metal. Some of his costume elements were actually inspired by his look for Disney Infinity.

Draw Every Day 301-310

So when November rolled around, I had the new Thor movie on my brain. After drawing his friends, the Warriors Three and Lady Sif, I spent a night on Batman and turned my attention to Star Wars.

Looking at the characters I had drawn so far this year, I noticed there was a lack of super villains. To try and fix that, I had Bad Guy week and asked for suggests on people's favorite baddies. This post also includes a little more Iron Man practice and my version of Snake Plissken from Escape from New York and Escape from Los Angeles.
